A very cool little replica, but really the SR-2 Cerberus version is better. The casting could have been a bit better and the colours are a bit off (ie grey instead of a light black). A solid product, but could have been better.

  • May 19, 2014 from Bloominton, IL

I was very skeptical about buying this model due to the negative reviews about the paint job, but finally caved and got one. I'm very happy I did. The model is very well made and they seemed to have fixed most of the paint issues. I see some mistakes here and there but you have to be extremely close to notice it. The only complaint that I have is that the Normandy "sits" on top of the metal rod. There's no real connector or anything

  • Feb 05, 2014 from La Mirada, CA

Pretty good replica, decent paint job and good quality. Definitely worth it.

  • Dec 29, 2013 from Upper Darby, PA

Pretty good replica. Not as good as the Cerberus version, but still a must have for any Mass Effect fan.

  • Sep 12, 2013 from Sydney Australia

Very detailed. A must buy for Mass Effect fans.

Good bonus for any Mass Effect fan.

  • Mar 02, 2013 from Astoria New York

    Beautiful miniature reproduction.

  • Feb 27, 2013 from Canada

    Poorly painted, looking cheap

  • Feb 11, 2013 from Texas

Excellent model, could have better details. Panel lines and paint job are not as sharp as they could be.

  • Feb 11, 2013 from Loa Angeles

    Excellent detail; well balanced

  • Jan 20, 2013 from United States

This was such a great deal on an awesome product that I couldn't pass it up! This item is such a cool addition to my collection and I'm glad I've got it.

  • Jan 17, 2013 from Brazil

    Great product, flawless delivery.

  • Jan 09, 2013 from Noveria

"I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite replica on TFAW." This is a seriously cool little replica of the Normandy. It is completely die-cast, which means that it doesn't have any of the plastic details that you often find on "die-cast" toys. It is small and that makes it an excellent size to play... er, I mean reenact battles with. This neat little replica would fit perfectly on Commander Shepard's wall in her quarters (FemShep FTW!) and will do the same for you.

  • Sep 26, 2012 from Materija, Slovenia

    Great, I love it!

  • Aug 17, 2012 from Stockton on tees, United Kingdom

Good quality product would recommend to any mass effect fan, could do with a better paint job

  • Aug 12, 2012 from santiago, --

considering the size, the paintjob is....not terrible

  • Jul 27, 2012 from Miami, Fl

Great service, not quick on the shipping but that is because item was on back-order, EXTREMELY FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE, will be buying from your website again.

  • Jun 06, 2012 from Cambridge UK

love this product scale im not too worried about its great design and well made v.happy just wish it would arrive alittle sooner but still happy

  • Apr 26, 2012 from Chicago

    Very disappointed. Terrible paint job.

  • Apr 19, 2012 from Salisbury

A classic masterpiece from the start! I got one of these baby for my room mate during xmas and I was so jealous that I had to get myself one as well!!

  • Apr 13, 2012 from CHAMAGNIEU, France

Envoi de bonne qualité et relativement rapide compte tenu de la distance avec la France ++++

  • Apr 13, 2012 from Sanremo, Imperia

Good replica, good materials, maybe just a little 'small.

  • Apr 09, 2012 from Tooele,Ut.

It's a great addition to my collection.

  • Feb 10, 2012 from Norway

It's a neat little ship and looks good on my desk. Wouldn't mind a bit more umph! though, the paintjob is a little sloppy though, and the decals don't do it any good either. I would definitely support a larger and more detailed version of this ship.

  • Feb 08, 2012 from Northwich, Cheshire

Excellent detail and speedy delivery to the UK. Sits perfectly with my Normandy variant... just waiting for the Antique Silver Edition to be released now.

  • Jan 27, 2012 from Russia, Moscow

Very nice, good assembly, thx to tfaw=)

  • Jan 26, 2012 from Nebraska

I agree with Georgia from Greece. Any plans to offer a larger edition? I'd throw a C-note for a really pro product, maybe closer to a foot in length, with plenty of detail and razor-sharp paint.

  • Jan 18, 2012 from beloit wi

great product as long as you dont drop it. lol

  • Jan 16, 2012 from CO

Super-fast shipping and delivery, which was much appreciated, especially at Christmastime, as this was a gift. Very pleased with seller.

  • Jan 13, 2012 from Greece

Being a big Mass Effect fan, I wanted this replica as soon as I heard about its release. Is it good? Well, it is good enough, but with a franchise as popular as Mass Effect and the coalition of such big and respectable companies as Dark Horse and Bioware I expected something i bit better. My main issues with it are that it is rather small, its paint job is moderate and its stand does not make it stand at an angle - its nose is pointing straight ahead, not upwards (e.g. http://alturl.com/gdb8z). Nevertheless it is a great addition to the collection of any big Mass Effect fan like me.

  • Jan 07, 2012 from Bloomington, IN

This replica looks amazing! The craftsmanship is definitely of high quality. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loved it!

  • Jan 07, 2012 from Salisbury MD

I got this elegant piece for my roommate for Christmas and he loved it! The detail is bar none and it looked really good next the TV! Come to think of it, I should have kept it myself! Thanks TFAW!

  • Jan 06, 2012 from Springfield IL

Overall the model is just great. Substantial and heavy (not light or flighty). Base matches the model in all respects. Detail is fantastic.

  • Jan 06, 2012 from Atlanta

Got it for my brother for christmas, and he absolutely loved it! Very durable and beautiful piece. Great for any desk or collection

  • Dec 27, 2011 from Cardston AB, Canada

I love this model. It's a little smaller than I expected, but that is alright, because it is the same rough size as my Star Wars Action Fleet collection. The detail and paint applications are phenomenal. I can't wait to see the other models in this series!

  • Dec 21, 2011 from Watauga, TX

The product looks awesome, but when I got it, it was broken. I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service. They were incredibly helpful.

  • Dec 21, 2011 from Mexico, Mexico

La nave esta muy bien hecha y detallada, elegante, y de buen tamaño. Thanks TFAW

[The ship is well made and detailed, elegant, and a good size. Thanks TFAW]

  • Dec 08, 2011 from Nebraska

great model, it looks pretty cool sitting on my desk right next to my enterprise. It is well made and detailed.

  • Dec 06, 2011 from Sheffield England

I was very impressed with the level of detail, the solid construction and overall just how sturdy the model is. Now all Black Horse need to do is make one of these of the SR-1 and I can die a happy man.

  • Dec 05, 2011 from Minnesota

This is a very well made product but it should be at least 6 inches bigger.

  • Dec 05, 2011 from Los Angeles, CA

Excellent product. I got this as a Christmas gift and it looks great. I know the recipient is going to love it in preparation for getting Mass Effect 3.

  • Dec 05, 2011 from NYC

    Overall, a positive experience.

  • Dec 04, 2011 from Newcastle, Australia

Love it the detail is great, and it looks fantastic in my office. I highly recommend this replica if you're a fan of the Mass Effect series!

  • Dec 04, 2011 from United States

Highly detailed model with a very secure stand. makes a great addition to my Scifi collection.

  • Dec 04, 2011 from United States

While this is smaller than I thought it would be, the detail is amazing.

  • Dec 04, 2011 from Mars

This is a very nice representation of the Normandy from Mass Effect 2. The model feels pretty sturdy and the paint job is good. Now if only, you could get more model ships from the ME universe.

  • Dec 03, 2011 from USA

Was looking forward to this, despite my misgivings about the limited availability of product images. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite live up to the hype. The paint work is sloppy, the model itself is asymmetric (especially when looking at the engines!) and the stand is just pathetic. The worst part is the severe nature of the 'grooves' in the ship. In the games, it appears to be more of a paint scheme, though as I understand it, it's ablative armor. However, the severity of the grooves doesn't suggest anything resembling armor, and makes it look like a bad Lego ripoff. Just another cheap (ass opposed to inexpensive) Chineese made knockoff.

  • Dec 03, 2011 from Florida

While it's an impressive model, one that I cherish, the painting is not as accurate as the picture portrays there are a few smudges on the nose where the grey and blue meet, and the wings and engines are a bit bent, but nothing that can't be overlooked. I'd still buy it either way.

  • Dec 03, 2011 from Finland

looks fabulous, and was very affordable and therefore a really great buy. I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect so to aquire something so cool with that amount of money is simply incredible. Thank you guys! :)

  • Dec 03, 2011 from Halifax, Nova Scotia

its really quite great. its solidly built and very detailed. my only problem is that there isn't one that's bigger

  • Dec 03, 2011 from US

Very awesome replica. The ship is about 7 inches long from front to back and 1.5 inches tall (excluding stand).

  • Dec 03, 2011 from Boston MA

Nice replica to bad they didn't make it bigger.

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Indiana

A wonderful model of the SR-2 with the paint scheme of the upcoming Mass Effect 3! I highly recommend it for any fan of this trilogy!

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Lincoln, NE

Looks very nice with my other ships. It's not as clean and detailed as I had hoped though.

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Chapel HIll, NC

It's sort of small, the paint job is mediocre, and the stand is functional, but nothing special. That said, it's a must have for any Mass Effect fan. The model itself is plenty detailed, and sturdy enough to play around with occasionally. There are not that many collectible tie-in's for Mass Effect that make more sense than this sort of replica, and I hope to see more of it's type, hopefully larget scale, coming out in the future.

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Spain (España)

Muy bueno, lo reservé y me llego en cuanto estuvo disponible, sin ningun problema con aduanas y con un embalaje perfecto... si fuera un poco mas grande molaria mucho mas..

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Miami

    Great! Love it!

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Canada

It's cool to have the SR2 on my desktop, has a nice battle worn look. But the painting is a little on the sloppy side in places.

  • Dec 02, 2011 from Cambridge, UK

The model itself is great, but - as everyone else has said, the paint job is awful. Will be trying to give this a new paint job myself.

  • Nov 18, 2011 from Germany

While the paint job could have been better, the price is okay for its quality. Still a nice prop for fans, but nothing more.

  • Nov 17, 2011 from Las Vegas, NV

While the details were nice, I felt this was kinda small for a model.

  • Nov 10, 2011 from Seattle

Pretty disappointing to see how poorly painted this thing was. It's still nice to have a Normandy on my shelf. At a glance, it looks alright and cool to have my favorite ship on display. Too bad it looks bad with closer scrutiny to anybody who cares to take a closer look. Really wish it was painted better, especially the part where the "cockpit" windows in the front.

  • Nov 09, 2011 from US

Pretty but flawed. As has been noted before, the paint is sub-par and the grooves a bit too deep. Size wasn't an issue for me as long as the rest of the piece was good, but unfortunately it failed to please.

  • Nov 09, 2011 from Ventura, CA

The good - the model is a nice size and has enough detail. The bad - Sloppy paint job, if you look closely the engines are asymmetrical, and it droops if you spin the stand to the center.

  • Nov 08, 2011 from WA, USA

Absolutely agree with other reviewers about the quality of the pait job on this thing. It's just plain sloppy.

  • Nov 05, 2011 from MA, USA

Altogether the craftsmanship on this product was great. The paint job, however, is woefully disapointing. It was clearly done very sloppily. The black lines are all outside of the ridges where they belong, and the symmetry of the wings was screwed up completely.

  • Nov 05, 2011 from OR, USA

The size of the model is perfect for desk size and the cast is actually very nice (fairly detailed). The paint job on the other hand, is some of the worst I've ever seen. If I'm told this took someone more than 5 minutes to paint, I would be very surprised. I feel obligated to repaint the model because it is a fantastic model, but the paint job just makes me sad (literally, it's depressing). All the detail is lost because the paint covers, NOT highlights, the model's intricacies. It's really a shame. With good paint, there's no doubt this model would have blown me away.

  • Jul 28, 2011 from Sao Goncalo, Rio de Janeiro

A must buy for Mass Effect lovers!

  • Jun 11, 2011 from littleton, co

Looks great! grid lines are a bit dark which dropped my score to 4 stars. now they need to make a sovereign model!

  • May 23, 2011 from Australia

The colour scheme matches the sr1 from the first mass effect but look at the logo on the side. That's the alliance. this has to be the mass effect 3 variant. The alliance claimed it and they wouldn't want to be associated with Cerberus.

  • May 17, 2011 from Neverland

For the people asking about the color. This is probably gonna be the SR2 from ME3. The Alliance has claimed the SR2 as theirs and with that comes along the new paintjob. Probably gonna get this but don't really like those segment lines. They're a bit too much.

  • May 16, 2011 from Port Orchard, WA, USA

I agree with "Commander Shepard", the grid lines are way to dark on the main hull, and the color scheme should be orange and black if it's the SR2. Does this come painted, or is it a kit? Regardless, it is a nice looking product, but I think I'd need to see it first hand before deciding whether or not to but it.

  • May 10, 2011 from Sheffield

I think I'm in love. Now all Dark horse have to do is make one of the original Normandy SR1 amd a quick repaint of this to make the SR2.

  • May 07, 2011 from NY

Mass Effect had SR1 with blue and black colors. Mass Effect 2 had SR2 with the orange cerberus colors. Where does this fall? Still looks amazing :)

  • May 03, 2011 from My Favorite Store on the Citadel

This looks really tempting, but the grid lines along the main hull are way too dark in these pics....

  • May 03, 2011 from Norfolk, VA

Agreed with first poster. At this size it should be included with the inevitable ME3 limited edition.

  • May 03, 2011 from Jacksonville, FL

Eh. I like that they've finally made a replica, but it should have been bigger. At 6 1/4" this thing will be about the size of a dollar bill.

  • Apr 28, 2011 from Russia, Moscow

    It`s amazing!
