I have given the new Star Wars a break for a long time. I wanted to reset my hopes and expectations. I was one of the ones who absolutely hated The Last Jedi, so I have given Star Wars a rest. Picking it back up after a year has not helped. I have read issues 15 to 19 in the Doctor Aphra series and I absolutely hate this series. The story is cheesy and the characters get on my nerves. They threw General Syndulla in this arc and it didn't help. Aphra is such a weak character to me. Throw her in impossible situations and then watch her get out. Make her seem like an idiot but in the end she was the mastermind all along. I love the new series Vader and seems to be the only one of the Marvel runs I have enjoyed. Marvel released that the comics and merchandise has not been doing as well as they hoped. Well they keep pumping out stories like this and not listening to a big majority of the fan base and your numbers are going to continue to slide. I am all for new, and I am all for a reset. But the people who are going to keep pumping in money to this franchise being insulted and ridiculed is not the way to do it. Other franchises have reset and survived even thrived but they are going to have to wait till all the old fans are dead for this to happen if they don't start listening to the old fan base. I used to buy everything with a Star Wars logo on it but not since the reboot. I check in from time to time to see if anything is getting better but unfortunately they do not seem to be getting better. Not sure if I am going to continue with this series. May come back to it after another break.
