Astonishing X-Men Prem HC Ghost Box - nick & dent at TFAW.com
The superstar team of Warren Ellis and Simone Bianchi take the X-Men to the 'Second Stage.' The X-Men are back to business -- with a new look, a new base of operations, and a mystery to solve that will take them into previously uncharted territory and test them to their core. It all starts on a spaceship hovering 300 hundred feet above the twisted wreckage of Chaparanga Beach. Its sole inhabitant: the mysterious Subject X. Five minutes - just five minutes is all he needs, all he's asking for. Can the X-Men afford to give it to him? Plus, artists Adi Granov, Alan Davis, Clayton Crain and Kaare Andrews join Ellis as they delve into the real consequences of this mysterious object in GHOST BOXES.

After being feted Joss Whedon and John Cassaday Marvel had a problem at hand: who put in place? They called Warren Ellis and Simone Bianchi, a great choice.
Ellis holds a different approach, less heroic, more chat and theories. And particularly I found much better, because the writer is looking for other alternatives to the problem that the X-Men face after the Day M: villains and mutations.
He put into practice the concept of Ghost Boxes, other dimensions, manufactured mutants of toast and still gets back to the Forge. All this with the beautiful art of Bianchi.
I find this approach more consistent with the X-Men, which are more than heroes above all they care to survive and ensure their species. And this story is basically this.
Beyond the arc in Astonishing mini is in two parts with Alan Davis, Adi Granov, Kaare Andrews and Clayton Crain crush, which exposes the effects of the box, very interesting.
Many of the extra Bianchi, variant covers, sketches and more. Beautiful edition.
