I have eagerly awaited the coming of this new TPB because I always hold out to read the comic so I can read it all at once in once sitting. This one did not disappoint. The story is quickly tying up loose ends in certain old plots. Even bring forward some surprises. My jaw dropped when the Zinco president spoke to his gathered comrades. The reemergence of Iosif was a grand one. He came across as stark and brutal when compared to the more paranormal related agents... but in the end after another read, I realized he is this way for a reason. He even manages to seem incredibly personable despite being a corpse in a jar. The change in Johann is palpable when reading through the early pages and his strong reaction to returning to his standard BPRD bag. The one downside is that I was often put off by the way Kate was drawn. It grew on me but was oddly out of place when I look back through my favorite stories with her. It is easy to get past but made me feel like something was off about her. The epilogue just made me sad and I worry for the future of the Team despite waiting eagerly for it.
