Based on the Emmy Award-winning web series Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, this collection of stories written by Zack Whedon (Deadwood, Fringe) chronicles some of the earliest adventures in the lives of archenemies Captain Hammer and Dr. Horrible.

This anthology solves many unanswered questions left over from the show. For instance: What event inspired Dr. Horrible to become the world's greatest criminal mastermind? Why is Penny, the beautiful girl from the Laundromat, still single? How can you, the reader, be like blustering do-gooder Captain Hammer? And why is Horrible's sidekick, Moist, so . . . um . . . well, you'll find out!

* Collects the first issue of Dr. Horrible with all three digital comics from MySpace Dark Horse Presents.

* Includes a never-before-seen sixteen-page story, about the top secret organization The Evil League of Evil.

* Dark Horse's Dr. Horrible iTunes app rose to number one in twenty-four hours, Beating out the Bible and Dr. Seuss!

Got to love josh whedon comics I love the short stories in this comic.

Fantastic! Really expands the characters beyond the initial musical. Is quite humorous, to boot. However, it's a bit short.

    Awesome. This is just awesome.

There should always be more Dr. Horrible in the world. Some really funny stories in here... Also, be sure to read the forward, because it's hilarious...

Loved the origin stories of Captain Hammer, Dr Horrible, ELE, et al! Will there be more about the other members of the ELE, such as Fury Laika? ;-)

I loved how simple it was to order something and how quickly it showed once released. It concerned me a bit that when pre-ordering, I was unable to actually make the purchase at the time that the pre-order was placed, but it worked out well. I have another pre-order waiting to be released. Thanks guys, you were great!

While it was nice to get some of the back story for Dr. Horrible, the writing and drawing were disappointing after the high quality I have come to expect for sories connected to Joss Whedon. His lack of involvement in this item seems a likely explaination for the lower quality.

The writing is brilliant and I can almost sense where songs would be! And I know art is subjective, but the only art I really enjoyed was Scott Hepburn's (The Evil League of Evil) and especially Joelle Jones' (Dr. Horrible). The expressions are incredible. The art, combined with the witty dialogue and storylines, reminds me of cartoons when they didn't suck. (I'm thinking Darkwing Duck.) All in all, an excellent buy, I'm very glad to have it!

    Highly enjoyable

I got this incredibly quickly after it was released after pre-ordering. It's a funny little book with a lot of side-stories from Dr. Horrible, revolving around characters like Moist and Johnny Snow. I highly recommend it to any Dr. Horrible fan!

This extremely short comic tells us how everyone became to be who they are in the Dr. Horrible world. Johnny Snow wasn't always evil, Moist had an accident, and all the others that I won't ruin for you. Really cool to find out how the characters got started on their lives of crime or crime fighting. I enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed the movie.
