While costumed crime fighter Empowered makes a startling discovery regarding her status as an all-too-frequent "damsel in distress," Ninjette confronts her own sordid past and frighteningly uncertain future as she battles alone against an entire clan of supernaturally durable ninja. What's more, can our hard-luck heroines withstand the challenges of supervillainous minivans, dueling "daddy issues," doomed-but-still-hot boyfriends, undead karaoke-party crashers, and spoiler alerts from hell itself?

* Over 100,000 copies of Empowered volumes in print!

Another great installment in what I think is probably the most interesting and dynamic superhero series out there. A particularly emotional installment in an already emotion packed series. /hat tip

Another excellent addition to the "Empowered" series!

This is quite possibly one of the best, if not the best, of the whole Emp series. We get a lot more insight into the characters, especially one of my favorites, Ninjette! Her struggles with her own past (especially her father) and how it plays upon her present are well done. I'm looking forward to see how it plays out with a certain "humble Genin", because she is a wickedly insane and intense character (love how she tries to goad 'Jette into a fight to get out of a debt she owes her). On top of this we get to see that 'Jette (despite having some primal urges and having some serious "daddy" issues) still wants to be good and is a very loyal friend to Emp (even providing some "Lucy-esque" psycho-eval help for said friend). It is a must read for the summer.
