Under the autocratic rule of a federal Europe, all prisoners are press-ganged into the military to fight an incredible war against an unbelievable enemy: unearthly monsters from another dimension known as the "Glimmer."

As the reluctant troopers soon learn, the Glimmer is ruled by the "Geist" -- the malevolent spawn of hell that can rend, kill, and destroy humans in a thousand different ways. The only way to survive is to be meaner, fight dirtier, and kill faster than the Geist...

The only thing decent is the art work. The story finds soldiers traveling through a quantum rift transporting them to an alternate demission which they can only describe as Hell. Sounds cool right? Well sadly the story never really picks up. Thereās some 2 page backstory the vaguely sets the plot up but nothing memorable. The rest of the book has you seeing these soldiers wandering again and again until it reaches its disappointing conclusion. I can see this being adapted and making a decent sci-fi channel movie but short of that the story never really picks up as you watch unremarkable characters get picked off one after another. The art is nice except when it comes to the monsters, then itās a swirl or lines and blurred dark mask never giving them true texture. Not worth the read.

Best sci-fi horror graphic novel I've read in years! Spectacular artwork and amazing story story that's both action packed and horrifying! Excellent!
