"Perhaps Moore's most powerful work."
A new trade paperback edition of the graphic novel that inspired the hit movie! A powerful story about loss of freedom and individuality, V FOR VENDETTA takes place in a totalitarian England following a devastating war that changed the face of the planet. In a world without political freedom, personal freedom and precious little faith in anything comes a mysterious man in a white porcelain mask who fights political oppressors through terrorism and seemingly absurd acts. It's a gripping tale of the blurred lines between ideological good and evil.
This new trade paperback edition of the classic series from writer Alan Moore (WATCHMEN, LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN) and artist David Lloyd (HELLBLAZER) collects the epic miniseries and features the improved production values and coloring from the 2005 hardcover.

An excellent deal on one of my favorite books. I love Moore's writing, and though the graphic novel is quite different from the movie, it is much richer and more complex.
Regarding the book itself, once again TFAW has delivered a pristine product in a timely fashion. TFAW is my ONLY comic store.

Moore does it again. A classic story with incredible artwork. This is quite far from the story of the movie adaptation, but equally enjoyable in its own right.

I love Alan Moore's work. He is a mastermind and I believe this is the true testament of his genius. It's a wonderful political statement and contains an air of mystery. A must have for all readers.

To begin, let me just say that I had seen "V for Vendetta" a LONG time before I had read this, and it is my #1 favorie film of all time. That being said, I read the graphic novel, and if you're looking for a simple comic-of-the-movie, this is as far as you can get from that. First of all, the stories are COMPLETELY different. There were only a few instances where the book and its adaptation matched up on things. Now, this is not to say that's bad, but I did enjoy the movie more. The book is exceedingly complex, engaging, and thought provoking, however, with more characters and repurcussions being seen from the actions of V. The main characters are all multi-dimensional, and the reader cares for them all, while at the same time questioning their actions and ideas. Truly a stimulating piece of literature, despite its differences from the movie. I would reccomend this to anyone.
Oh, yeah, and his hat's cooler in the book, too.
