Warehouse Clerk - Saturday / Sunday Shift

 

We are accepting resumes for full time warehouse clerks for our weekend shift from 7:00am - 5:30pm. This is a 2 day, 10 hour per day shift. Opportunity for OT and other shifts during peak seasons. We are seeking detail oriented individuals to join us in a steady paced, busy and team focused environment.  

Position Objective:

To perform the daily duties of shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling and some deliveries and pick-up. Serve the shipping and inventory needs of Things From Another World and its customers in an efficient and professional manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Pull, verify and package orders.
  • Ship orders utilizing a computerized shipping system.
  • Process orders on a daily basis.
  • Count incoming inventory.
  • Stock shelves as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Participate in quarterly and year-end inventory counting periods.
  • Maintain accurate shipping files of reports.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.

Associate Responsibilities: Any other duties that may be assigned related to position

Preferred Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. comfortably
  • Perform basic math skills with high degree of accuracy.
  • Prior experience with computer manifest systems helpful but not required.
  • Must be a team player with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and react appropriately to the unexpected.

We are accepting resumes for full time warehouse clerks for our day shift from 7:00am - 3:30pm or our swing shift from 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday. Opportunity for OT and weekend shifts during peak seasons. We are seeking detail oriented individuals to join us in a steady paced, busy and team focused environment. 

 

Position Objective:

To perform the daily duties of shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling and some deliveries and pick-up. Serve the shipping and inventory needs of Things From Another World and its customers in an efficient and professional manner.

Customer Service Representative 

 

We are hiring for a detail oriented and committed Customer Service Representative to help provide customer support for orders placed through www.tfaw.com. You will be the first line of defense when it comes to helping customers who have had issues with their orders, and will help proactively identify issues before they grow. In addition, you will work with the rest of the marketing team to plan, create, and implement campaigns designed to improve loyalty or spending for new, past and present customers.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer support tickets, emails, chats, and phone calls as needed, and help customers resolve issues, providing the highest level of customer service to our customers at all times
  • Working with other departments and vendors to research problems pertaining to TFAW customers, and framing the best solution possible based on this research.
  • Utilizing web-based administration tools to perform a wide variety of tasks including (but not limited to) adjusting customer accounts, adjusting shipment details, and more.
  • Processing customer returned shipments and gift certificates.
  • Coordinate with store employees to complete ship to store orders.
  • Communicate and work on resolution of warehouse problem orders.
  • Document and track all related issues.
  • Work with purchasing team to track and help manage product cancellations, alterations, and delays.
  • Assist in monitoring and operations of social media, primarily when questions about orders or items are asked.
  • Identify and share potential problems based on incoming support queries, and by actively monitoring social media chatter
  • Help plan and help execute digital campaigns to increase current user LTV, and to increase customer retention, including but not limited to email campaigns, sale suggestions, and social media promotions
  • Help facilitate resolution of unshipped and problem orders
  • Other related tasks as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work at least 1-2 days per week in our Milwaukie, OR office
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Knowledge of pop culture and comics industry
  • Experience with Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good spelling and grammar
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their strengths/weaknesses
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to speak on the phone to customers with a welcoming personality
  • Ability to accurately enter data
  • Ability to type at a minimum of 40-50 WPM

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in customer service or related experience in retail a plus
  • Experience in writing professionally worded and error-free emails
  • Experience with online chat programs and social media
  • Experience in dealing with negative or combative customers and retaining a calm exterior a plus
  • Background or experience with analytics or a strong analytical mind
